NSP Central Sector Scheme for the scholarship for college and University students 2021-22
The Objective of the scheme
To provide financial support to the meritorious and poor
students so that they can meet the day-to- day expenses and concentrate on
study.
Who is eligible for NSP
scholarship scheme 2021?
- Students should have 80% of percentile in
class 12 of 10+2 pattern or equivalent
- He/ She should be pursuing regular
courses (correspondence course won’t be considered) in the recognized
college/Institutes of All India Council of Technical Education /Medical
council of India/Dental Council of India or and respective regulatory
authorities.
- He/ She should not have availing the any
other scholarship or fee waiver schemes
- Family income should not be more than 8
lakh from all the sources.
Will reservation apply in the scheme?
Yes, the reservation will apply as per the following breakup.
Reservation will be as follows:
Schedule Casts: 15%
Scheduled Tribes: 7.5%
OBCs : 27%
Physically Handicapped: 5%
What is the amount of NSP scholarship for degree students?
10000 (ten thousand) per annum up to three years for
college/university courses and 20000 per annum for post-graduation courses. In
case the student is pursuing 5 years integrated course then he/she will get
20000 per annum in 4th and 5th year but if the student is pursuing technical
courses like B.tech., B.Eng. then students will get the scholarship up to
graduation level.
Duration of the scholarship:
Students can get a scholarship for up to 5 years. This
scholarship is renewable on yearly basis up to the post-graduation level in the
same stream. Students of the different streams can also be considered provided
he/she has done the graduation and now has taken the admission in the
- technical course in PG.
- If a student couldn’t appear in the
annual examination due to illness or any other unavoidable circumstances
then he/she will have to submit a medical certificate or other required
documents to the head of the institution. If the head of the institution
gets satisfied then he/she certify that the student would have got the
required marks or CGPA If the student would have appeared in the exam.
Based on this certification scholarship will be renewed.
- If a scholar changes the course of a
different stream that is outside of his/her board then also he/she will be
allowed to continue/renew the scholarship provided the course of study and
the institution is recognized.
Documents required for NSP scholarship scheme 2021:
- Adhar .In case Adhar is not there then as
an alternative Aadhar enrollment ID slip/Application made for Aadhar
enrollment/PAN/Voter ID Card/Driving License /Passport/Identity proof with
photograph issued by gazetted officer/tehsildar on official letter
head/Identity Card of a college/University/Any other document with photo
which has been specified by the government
- Income certificate
- Class 12th mark sheet
The Number of scholarships in NSP scholarship scheme 2021?
82000 (Eighty- two thousand) per annum (50% each to boys and
girls) scholarships are awarded to meritorious students for pursuing
graduate/Postgraduate/professional courses like medical, engineering courses
from recognized colleges or universities.
How do I check my NSP amount?
Visit the website PFMS. Click on track NSP Payments.New page will be opened. Fill in all the required details bank, account number, NSP application ID, enter word verification and then click on search.
Last date for applying for the scholarship
The Last date for applying for the scholarship is 30th November
2021.
Points have to keep in mind
before starting the filling the application form.
- Date of Birth: Your date of birth should
be the same as mentioned in your educational certificate.
- Domicile State: This is very important.
You will get the application ID based on your domicile state and this
application ID will be your default log-in ID for all your future
reference/correspondence. Domicile state is the state where permanent
address is there. This domicile state will not change after the allotment.
In case your institute is different from your domicile state then your
institute will provide the bonafide certificate.
- Scholarship category: You need to choose
the category of your scholarship (Degree or Diploma) while doing the
registration.
- Name: You should provide the same name as
it is mentioned in your educational certificate.
- Mobile number: You need to provide the
correct and working mobile number because all the activities like SMS, one-time
password on the portal will happen through a given mobile number only.
- Email id: Please keep ready one working
email id before starting the registration on the portal. Because all
activity on the portal will be notified on the given email id.
- Bank account: Provide correct bank
detail, IFC code, branch name, etc during the registration. It is not
mandatory but it is always advisable that you should link your aadhar with
your bank account for easy transfer of scholarship amount in your account,
- Annual Family Income: The Income
certificate issued by a competent authority needs to be submitted.
Once you are ready with the above information/document then let
us move to the registration section.
How to apply online for the scholarship?
Step one: Please visit https://scholarships.gov.in/
Step two: Then click the New Registration tab.
Once you click on that then you will be brought to new
page https://scholarships.gov.in/fresh/newstdRegfrmInstruction
After clicking the undertaking section you will be asked to
click continue. Once you click that, you will be brought to the application
form page below

On this page, you will be asked to fill below information
· State of Domicile
· Scholarship Category
· Name of a Student
· Scheme Type
· Date of Birth
· Gender
· Mobile Number
· Email ID
· Bank IFSC code
· Bank Account number
· Identification Detail
Application form page:
Once you fill in all the above information and submit the
application then the default log-in password for logging on to the portal will
be sent to the mobile number. So it is always advisable that before proceeding
further please provide the correct mobile number and get it updated on the
portal through OTP.

- The Official website will bring you to
the home page of the portal
- On the extreme top right of the page get
it on Google play will
be there click that
- Then click download then the app will be
downloaded on your mobile.
Note: Mobile app may not be updated in that case use only scholarship portal
