Why Swanath Scholarship scheme?  The storm of Covid has taken away so many dreams. The Youngsters of the country were busy preparing their future with new dreams in their eyes. Unaware of the uncertainties of life they were busy in enjoying their life and then suddenly cyclone of the covid shattered their dreams. Todays these youngsters are trying hard to get their life back on track. On the other hand, the soldiers of the arm forces and the central forces of the country are sacrificing their lives while fighting the anti-national forces. This Scholarship is an effort to help the children of the families of the Covid victims and martyrs to prepare for their successful future through AICTE.                                                           How many scholarships are there?  Total 2000 scholarships (1000 for degree students and 1000 for diploma students) are there for disbursement  What is the amount of Scholarship?  50000 rupees per year for four years for degree students and three years for diploma students at the lump sum basis for college fee and other charges will be given. The Scholarship will be awarded from the year student is studying. Let say if a student is applying for the scholarship in the second year then the scholarship will be granted for 3 years in case of the degree course and 2 years for the diploma course. Scholarship won’t be granted for the year in which study has already been completed.  Last date for applying for the scholarship  The Last date for applying for the scholarship is 30th November 2021.  What are the criteria of selection for degree and diploma courses scholarship?  For degree courses-Marks obtained in the examination for qualifying for taking the admission in AICTE approved institutions example - Marks of 10+2 or equivalent examinations. For diploma courses- Marks obtained in the examination for qualifying for taking the admission in AICTE approved institutions example - Marks of 10 or equivalent examinations What will happen if the score becomes a tie?  AICTE will apply the following methodology for resolving the tie issue for degree courses:  1.	Marks of the 10th exam: In case of tie higher marks in the 10th exam will be ranked higher 2.	Age: In case the marks of the 10th exam are not able to resolve the tie then the elder age candidate will be given the preference and he/she will be ranked higher 3.	Annual family income: In case both the above methods are not able to break the tie then students from lower-income will be given preference and he/she will be ranked higher.   For diploma courses point b and c will be applied for resolving the tie.  Will reservation apply in the scheme?  Yes, the reservation will be available as per the government of India reservation norm.  Who all can apply for the scholarship?  1.	Candidate should be in the categories of Orphan/One of the parents or both the parents have died due to Covid/wards of armed forces and central parliamentary forces martyred in action 2.	Family income should not be more than 8 lakh in a year during the financial year of the application. Income certificate in this regard needs to be presented at the time of applying for the scholarship. 3.	The Candidate should be studying in the regular course of AICTE approved institutions at the degree diploma level. 4.	The candidate should not be the recipient of any other scholarships.   What are the documents required for applying for the scholarship?  Following documents are required: 1.	Documents related to the educational qualification of the student (Marks sheet of 10th  and 10+2 or equivalent for degree level and 10th mark sheet for diploma level) . 2.	Students bank account details like account number, branch and IFC code, etc 3.	Aadhar of the student. Please provide your 12 digit aadhar number. Only one application from one aadhar is allowed. In case it is found that you have applied multiple applications then your application will be rejected. If Aadhar is not there then a certificate from the school for diploma students and a certificate from the institute for degree students will be required. But for smooth transactions aadhar is always helpful. 4.	Students need to provide an Aadhar enrolment id and the scan copy of the passbook of the account which is being shared for applying for the scholarship. 5.	In case your institute or school is different from the state where your permanent address is there then a bonafide certificate from the school or institute will be required. 6.	For orphan students death certificate of both the parents ( if applicable) or certificate issued by tehsildar or SDM of the concern geo. 7.	For the students whose one or the both the parents died due to the covid needs to submit the death certificate of the parents clearly mentioning that death has happened due to the Covid. 8.	If one parent is alive then current year income certificate from the competent authority with clearly mentioning that candidate is meeting maximum income (should be less than 8 lakh) criteria. 9.	Bonafied certificate from the institution  10.	Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) 11.	If a candidate is from family of Armed forces and central parliamentary forces then he/she needs to submit death certificate and shaheed certificate issued by armed forces/Central Para military forces.  Other terms and condition of the scheme 1)	Applications for scholarship will be invited once in a year 2)	Only verified online applications will be considered for scholarship 3)	If a candidated drops out or she fails  from the courses in the subsequent year then she will not be  considered for further scholarship 4)	The Grant of scholorship will be given to those students who have not received any kind of financial help or stippend etc from any other source during  her study in the institute.If this rule gets voileted any time duirng the coruse then said scholorship will be withdrawn and the whole amount needs to be refunded to AICTE by draft.Draft should be in favour of Member secratary AICTE payable at New Delhi. 5)	Monitoring and implementing agency of this scheme will be AICTE 6)	For the assesment purposes CGPA will be converted into precetage and for this forumula will be : CGPAX 9.5.But in case total marks is given in the marksheet then percentage will be drived through marks only. 7)	For the calculation of the percentage in 10+2 marks,any five subject marks of different board will be considered. 8)	Before publishing the final  merit list of the shortlisted candidates  on the AICTE portal provisional list will be uploaded on the portal for a month.If Anyone has query then she can raise the objection after passing the one month time no objection will be entertained and the final list will be published. 9)	Any query related to nonpayment of scholarship due to wrong account number or otherwise will be entertained till the six months of the publication of the result.     Points have to keep in mind before starting the filling the application form.  1.	Date of Birth: Your date of birth should be the same as mentioned in your educational certificate. 2.	Domicile State: This is very important. You will get the application ID based on your domicile state and this application ID will be your default log-in ID for all your future reference/correspondence. Domicile state is the state where permanent address is there. This domicile state will not change after the allotment. In case your institute is different from your domicile state then your institute will provide the bonafide certificate. 3.	Scholarship category: You need to choose the category of your scholarship (Degree or Diploma) while doing the registration. 4.	Name: You should provide the same name as it is mentioned in your educational certificate. 5.	Mobile number: You need to provide the correct and working mobile number because all the activities like SMS, one-time password on the portal will happen through a given mobile number only. 6.	Email id: Please keep ready one working email id before starting the registration on the portal. Because all activity on the portal will be notified on the given email id. 7.	Bank account: Provide correct bank detail, IFC code, branch name, etc during the registration. It is not mandatory but it is always advisable that you should link your aadhar with your bank account for easy transfer of scholarship amount in your account, 8.	Annual Family Income: The Income certificate issued by a competent authority needs to be submitted.  Once you are ready with the above information/document then let us move to the registration section.    How to apply online for the scholarship?  Step one: Please visit https://scholarships.gov.in/  Step two: Then click New Registration tab.   Once you click on that then you will be brought to new   page https://scholarships.gov.in/fresh/newstdRegfrmInstruction    Then click continue. After that, you will be brought on the application form page below  https://scholarships.gov.in/fresh/newStudentRegFrm.action Application form page:  Once you fill in all the above information and submit the application then the default log-in password for logging on to the portal will be sent to the mobile number. So it is always advisable that before proceeding further please provide the correct mobile number and get it updated on the portal through OTP.     Why Swanath Scholarship scheme?

The Scholarship will be awarded from the year student is studying. Let say if a student is applying for the scholarship in the second year then the scholarship will be granted for 3 years in case of the degree course and 2 years for the diploma course. Scholarship won’t be granted for the year in which study has already been completed.

    The Last date for applying for the scholarship is 30th November 2021.

     

    What are the criteria of selection for degree and diploma courses scholarship?

    What will happen if the score becomes a tie?

     

    AICTE will apply the following methodology for resolving the tie issue  :

    Other terms and condition of the scheme

    ·         ·         Applications for scholarship will be invited once in a year

    ·         Only verified online applications will be considered for scholarship

    ·         If a candidate drops out or she fails  from the courses in the subsequent year then she will not be  considered for further scholarship

    ·         For the assessment purposes CGPA will be converted into percentage and for this formula will be : CGPAX 9.5.But in case total marks is given in the mark sheet then percentage will be derived through marks only.

    ·         For the calculation of the percentage in 10+2 marks, any five subject marks of different board will be considered.

    ·         Before publishing the final merit list of the shortlisted candidates on the AICTE portal provisional list will be uploaded on the portal for a month. If anyone has query then she can raise the objection after passing the one month time no objection will be entertained and the final list will be published.

    Any query related to nonpayment of scholarship due to wrong account number or otherwise will be entertained till the six months of the publication of the result.
