    What is Ayshman Bharat Digital Mission? Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is intended to bring revolutionary changes in India`s Health facilities. This mission is planning to create an ecosystem which will bring all the stakeholders on one platform. This mission will enable access and exchange of health records of a citizen with the patient consent. This facility has been inaugurated by honourable Prime Minister Mr.Narender Modi on 27th September 2021. This Platform will have a multilingual feature. So that any patient can connect to the doctor who can understand the language in which the patient is comfortable. This scheme is also called National Digital Health Mission or the PM Digital health mission. This will be the platform through which health identity cards will be issued to every citizen. Health care professionals get registered here. Labs or other health service providers can also register here for providing the service to the citizen. Till now it has been implemented in six union territories as a pilot project.  What are the benefits of a Health ID card  Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission will offer a 14 digit health ID to every citizen and this will also work as their health account. Through this scheme, the government intends to remove the overlapping of the treatment. A common man can go to any hospital or any doctor or any part of the country, He will have to just show his card and that doctor or hospital can access his old medical history, and based on that history he/she would suggest suitable treatment. There won’t be the need to go through the entire test again and again. This platform will also enable the patient to access the service remotely. He can choose the doctor or hospital and avail of service from the comfort of his/her home. This platform intends to bring revolutionary changes to the Health sector.  How will the Health ID card work? The health ID card will be created by using the Aadhar or the mobile number. This unique number will serve as an identifier of the patient. This will pull the relevant health records of the patient. This system will also collect basic details like demographic, location, family, and contact detail. These all information will be linked to the health ID subject to approval from the particular individual. This information will be termed a Personal health record system (PHR). This will enable an individual to manage his her health records like treatment details, Lab reports, Medicines, discharge summaries across one or multiple health facilities.      How can an individual get the Health ID?


    1) For registration Please  visit Ayshman bharat Digital  mission (ABDM) Portal
    2) Click on "create your health id" .This will direct you to the Registration site
    3) On the registration site, choose the option to create health id through aadhaar or without aadhaar
    4) If you opt for  aadhaar number then it will send you OTP on your mobile number registered in aadhaar.it will fetch your information like dame, DOB and other detail  from there. If you opt for non aadhaar registration then you will be asked to share mobile number and once you fill the mobile number then you will get the OTP .Once you fill the OTP then it will bring you to the next page where you will be asked to fill all your details like name, age, sex, state, address.
    5) After filling all the data unique id will be created.

As per the government all this information will remain private and in secure environment. Once you link your self to the particular hospital/nursing home/doctor where you have received the facility then you can fetch all your health data on your PHR mobile app.You can also manually update your data and upload your test reports and other medical records on this app.
