    What is the society registration process? How to start the society in 2021? We as individuals many times would like to do something for society or do would like to do make an impact in society. In the process, few individuals meet. They discuss their plan and then try to formalize the whole plan. Now the question is how can we formalize the whole process? How can we register society? If we have to register the society then under which act it will be registered? What are the processes to register society? There will be many questions like this will occur in our mind and certainly, we would like to know the answer as well. What is society? When a few individuals decide to pursue a particular purpose and work for a larger charitable cause then it is called society. A group of individuals inclined towards a particular philosophy, opinion, mission, or work and they would like to work for this particular purpose can for society. We register a society for serving the larger cause of the society. There are many examples of this. A society can work in the field of education, poverty elimination, environment, health, and so on. Many organizations are registered under the society registration act. They are doing a wonderful job in society. Society can operate at the district, state, national, or even international level. Society can work in the field of Poverty elimination, music, culture, environment, education, communication, or religion. Societies are normally managed by a governing council or a managing committee. It is governed by the society’s registration act 1860.   What is the purpose of society registration?  In a broad sense, for doing the charity work society can be registered. If people would like to do the charity like : Poverty elimination : Promote sports : Promote arts : Promote culture : Science and literature : Free education for the needy one : Creating a blood bank : Book bank : Foodbank : To develop the health infrastructure like providing free medicines, doctors, hospitals, pathology services, critical care, or any other kind of social work would be the good purpose of forming the society. Society registration takes place at the respective states. All the formalities for society registration will happen in the respective states registrar`s office only. For registering the society minimum of seven members is required. These members will form a committee for running a society. These seven members need to choose one unique name of the society. The Selection of a name is the first but very important step towards forming the society. The Name should be unique. The Name should not be similar to the other registered society. The Name should also not be in the restricted category of state or central government. After choosing the name these society members will form a rule and regulation of the society depending upon the aims and objects of the society.  Memorandum of Association A Memorandum of Association is a very important step of the society registration process. Memorandum of Association contains the details of the committee members. Committee members’ names, address, designation, and their occupation get documented in the memorandum of Association. The Office address of the society needs to be mentioned in the memorandum. This memorandum has to be signed by every committee member. After the signature, this memorandum of Association needs to be attested /certified by the notary. A Memorandum of the association will also contain the aims and objectives of the society. This memorandum will clearly explain the aims and objectives of the society. For what purposes a particular society is being formed. By-Laws of the society By-laws are a very important part of society`s functioning.This will decide how your society will function. What kind of rule you are going to follow? So Bylaws will contain the following information: 1.	Unique name (approved) name of the organization. 2.	A Preamble of the organization 3.	Basic aims and objectives of the organization. 4.	Different types of membership( Life membership, yearly membership, special invitee, Patron, and so on) 5.	Rights and duties of the members 6.	Rights and duties of governing council members. 7.	Process of election in the society 8.	Process of calling general body meeting 9.	Right and obligation of office bearers of the society. 10.	The Process to dissolve the society (if required) 11.	The Process to amend/modify/revision of by-laws Documents required for registration of the society. 1.	KYC document (Adhar/Voter id/Driving license 2.	Adhar or any other document for residence proof. 3.	PAN card 4.	Address proof of the society (Utility bill or rent agreement) 5.	Memorandum of Association 6.	Bylaws 7.	Name of governing council or managing committee members with their designation. 8.	A covering letter  Summary Make a group of seven or more people. Shortlist the aims and objectives of the society. Select the unique name of the society. Form a committee/Governing body, Make a memorandum of Association, Make bylaws. Collect the KYC documents of the governing body. After all these formalities apply for the registration to the registrar.     SVSU Work during the covid-  Covid care centre–   Set up 30 bed covid care center free of cost in gurgaon.24X7 nursing staff, doctors all the services were free –The University had setup a Covid Care Centre (CCC) level-1 for very mild and mild cases of covid-19 as per guidelines of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). This center was established at IILM Boys Hostel, A 63 &64, Huda Sector-55, Sushant Lok-2, Haryana-122011. The center was inaugurated by Hon’ble CM on 17-May-2021 with permission from District Administration with the support from Institution, Industry and NGO partners of the University. Free transportation taxi with oxygen-  COVID transport service was launched on 17th May, 2021 by converting electric vehicle into the COVID transport service. University received enquiries from Delhi NCR and patients availed the transportation facility. 07 staff members (one DEO and 06 Drivers) deployed for carrying out this facility from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. University converted one of its vehicles for carrying out this facility & it was for whole NCR.  Ambulance Service.  A dedicated 24X7 Ambulance with Oxygen Cylinder was provided by Roop Automotive to pick and drop the patent of Covid Care Centre & oxygen bank.The university created a facility to provide oxygen to Covid-19 patient by arranging oxygen concentrator and oxygen cylinders. Covid helpline launched with the help of industries partner Concentric-  Covid helpline was in services with an industry partner concentric & verified data was provided by the university team and concentric was managing the technology, Technically the provided information to the needy person on the call on Covid-19 helpline number 1800 1800 147, For this service total number of around 45 volunteers were engaged from the SVSU and 29 staff members were engaged from the Concentrix to take up the calls on the toll free number and providing the right assisting number to the needy persons. University team was collecting the raw data after running the script on social media site & it was sent forwarded after verifying and segregated accordingly for  Delhi NCR.  Free meal distribution and motivational session-  Industries partner was lalit Gurugram. Dr. Mohit Srivastava, Assistant. Prof. elaborated initiatives of distributions of food items to the needy ones and told about the distribution of more than 3000 food packets in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Faridabad with the help of Hotel the Lalit. The university with the support of the Hotel-The Lalit took the initiative to provide free meals to Covid-19 Patients. Motivational session for the patient conducted by Prof Jyoti Rana,  It was conducted on daily basis for knowing the patient condition.  Development of indigenous concentrator- University`s Engineering team developed indigenous concentrator with the support from Elofic.  A project of designing an indigenous innovative concentrator was launched as Project Sanjeevani. One such initiative was to develop a state-of-the-art Oxygen Concentrator- under the project Sanjeevani towards Self-reliant India. For the development of an oxygen concentrator The idea for project Sanjeevani was conceived in April end 2021 with an objective to manufacture indigenous oxygen concentrator which can deliver more than 90% oxygen purity at flow rate of 5 LPM. One single unit of this oxygen concentrator was assembled by 25th May and test trials were conducted on final product. With little modifications done on 5th June 2021, in the casing to enhance cooling of compressors, presently final product is ready to use. Addition of air purifier and inbuilt two compressors, for supplying oxygen to two patients at a time, make this indigenous oxygen concentrator distinct from other oxygen concentrators available in the market.  Medical Consultancy- Medical tele consultancy services were available to the needy persons through SVSU toll free helpline services. Around 18 doctors were available online round the clock for this service. Psychological Consultancy- For psychological boosting to the infected person, SVSU was contact with IILM, Gurugram with their psychologists to provide the services and to make them stand with the situation.
