How to join the NGO make a career in it or get the fund?

How to join the NGO make a career in it or get the fund? The Full form of NGO is a nongovernmental organization. Many people have the zeal to work for society. They would like to make an impact on society. Whenever they make up the mind to work for society then the first question comes to their mind like how? Where? When? So in this article, I will explain how a person can join the NGO, make a career in it or if starts own NGO then how can he/she gets the fund. From where we can start? So at first people need to find a purpose or the area in which they would like to do the social service and would like to make a career. There are many NGOs that are working for many purposes. There are new NGOs also coming into force to service society for different purposes. So first you shortlist the area of interest and then search the NGOs which are working in this area. For example below are the purposes of NGOs. There are many other purposes for which NGOs are working. Purpose of NGOs To help the people Adopt Poor orphan child Provide free books To make a school/hospital Provided free food, medicine home to the needy one. Any kind of work related to social welfare can be termed as the work of NGO How to join NGO There are two ways to join the NGO. The first one is to join as a member of the existing NGO and The second one is to start your own NGO. If you would like to join NGO then obviously you would have the purpose of social service or you would have done the course of BSW/MSW. For internship or as a permanent employee you may join t the NGOs. For this, you may search NGO and apply online to their website or you may personally visit and join. You have two options. You can join the NGO as a member or join there as an intern. On NGOs website, you will find the option like becoming member/Get involved/Internship. NGOs may ask for your credentials like KYC document, Qualifications, phone number email id. Once you are through in the interview then you may join there and pursue your passion. How to start own NGO You may feel that instead of joining the NGO let us start our own NGO. It is not a bad idea. Here you can implement your idea, imagination, passion in your way. If you would like to do social service and don’t intend to take the grant from the government then there is no need for registration. If you intend to take the grant form govt then you should go for the registration. You can get register your NGO under the society act 1860 or trust act 1882. For registration under the society act, you need a minimum of 7 members as a group for a particular purpose whereas for registration under the trust act you need a minimum of 2 trustees. In society, blood relation is not allowed. whereas in trust blood relation is allowed. you can make him a member. If you would like to register the society on a national level then 7 members should be from different states and one member from the place where you are registering the society where as in trust registration this limitation is not there. You may find details and registration process about society : What Is Trust? Types Of Trust, Its Work And Registration Process If you would like to register your NGO under trust act then you may visit : What Is The Society Registration Process? How To Start The Society In 2021? How to get the fund for NGO There are many ways through which an NGO can collect the fund. I am explaining few examples below: Membership: An NGO can collect membership fees from its members. through which they can generate a good amount of revenue. Membership fees can be many types. Life-time membership, yearly, permanent, Patron. You can classify the types of membership like this. Grant from the government: For getting the grant from the Government NGO will have to register on Niti aayog Portal NGO Darpan website . Please get your NGO impaneled and get the unique id from there. Please note as per the government circular this is mandatory for getting any kind of grant from The Government. If you would like to apply for a government grant then first you will have to sign in on NGO Darpan website and then will have to go to apply for the grant link and you will have to proceed further. Here you will find the different link of different ministries and departments. Every department has its own criteria and requirements for giving the grant. You need to fulfill their requirement and then submit the proposal to them. 3. CSR Fund: CSR means corporate social responsibility fund this act is in force since April 2014.In this act company that has an annual net worth of 500cr or annual income is of 1000 cr or annually profit is 5cr then they have to spend on CSR. This spend should be the 2% of average profit of last 3 years. An NGO can get this fund without registering for 12A and 80G. Education, empowerment, health, skill development, training, , sports are the field where companies disbursing CSR funds. There are other fields as well where funds are being disbursed. I have just shared few examples. For getting the fund under the CSR project title of the proposal should be attractive. You should clearly define your goal, target and budget. Description of the problem and its possible solution. How will be the fund used that needs to be described in detail. 4. Public fund: Once the public come to know your social work then they get impressed and then they donate to your NGO. For getting the fund from the public you need to keep advertising your work on a different platform so that the general public should know what you are doing. Also, share your ac detail on the website so that the interested public can donate. 5. Foreign agency fund: Once you get the FCRA certificate then you can get the fund from the foreign agency as well. The Only catch is an NGO can get the FCRA certificate only after 3 years of existence. 6. Fund from the sponsorship and sale of goods: You can get organized a program and can collect the fund through sponsorship and selling your goods which your NGO has made. This way also you can generate a lot of funds. 7. Fund form loyalty program: You can mobilize the fund by running the loyalty program. This program can run on a periodical basis.

What is NGO Trust? Types of trust, its work and registration process

What is NGO Trust? Types of trust, its work and registration process

What is  NGO Trust? Types of trust, its work and registration process

What is Trust? Types of trust, its work and registration process. Purpose of trust, documents required, tax exemption and donation to the trust. What is Trust? Types of trust, its work and registration process Trust which Hindi meaning is bharosa/vishwas. Trust is a very important part of our society. There are many kinds of activities going on through trust. Every state has its own trust act but wherever there is no specific act then Trust act 1882 comes into force. This had come into force on 1st March 1882. Till today it is in existence through article 372 of the Indian constitution. IT provision under sec 11,12, and 13 we have the provision of trust. So I would like to elaborate on different type of trust and its work and its registration process. Broadly there is two kinds of Trust. Private Trust Public trust Private Trust Property/assets are given to the trust by an individual and it is managed by the trust and whatever income happens in the trust gets to pass on to the designated individual. In this trust, the personal beneficiary is limited to author discretion. In other words, we can say if the purpose is related to the creator then this trust will be called private trust. In this trust, people will be taxed as an individual tax rate provided none of the beneficiaries having taxable income. In this trust, the maximum marginal rate will be applied If any of the beneficiaries having taxable income. Public Trust If the creator has given his property (Movable immovable) to the trustee for a particular purpose and if the purpose is related to general public then this trust will be called public trust. In this trust people will be taxed as an individual subject to trust has spent 85% of the income. Less than 85% of spend will attract tax as per the individual tax slab. Here it will be pertinent to mention that every trust is supposed to spend 85% of income in charitable activity for getting the benefit under the income tax act.in this act there is also a provision that if a trust has planned huge expenditure and this is not possible from one-year donation/income then the income tax act says that trust can accumulate the donation for up to 5 years. Within five years a particular trust will have to spend the amount for getting the IT rebate. In this scenario 85 % spend every year rule will not be applicable. If trust has done any violation then income tax will charge a maximum marginal rate that is 35.53 percent. Once you registered as a public charitable trust you will get the benefit of 80G. Public charitable trust rules and regulations are very liberal. Broadly two kinds of public trust is there: Religious trust: A Religious trust caters to the need or purpose of a particular religion. Like the trust for a Mandir or Masjid Charitable trust: Charitable trust does charitable work for the general public. It doesn't differentiate the general public by cast and creed or religion. Essentials of a valid trust: Author: A author/creator/donor/settler is a person who is creating a trust Trustee: Person who has been appointed in the trust by the author. Beneficiary (related or unrelated): This defines the purpose of the trust. An individual or group of individuals for whom the trust has been formed. Property (movable or immovable): The property which has been donated to the trust for fulfilling the particular purpose. Trust deed: A registered document basis on which the whole trust will function. Purpose of which trust can be created. Trust can be created for lawful purposes. The Purpose will be deemed as lawful unless For bidden by law/Prohibited by law Defeats the provision of law Fraudulent or cheating in nature Against public policy /immoral /Against the society Injury to other or his property (infringement of rights of other) /violation of rights of others Registration of a trust: Choose the appropriate name of the trust and also make sure that the chosen name doesn’t violate any kind of law. Determine the Author/creator/settler /Donor. Minimum of two trustees we need for registering the trust. Trust deed that will contain the name of the trust, author/settler name. Trustee name, the objective of the trust (beneficiary detail), registered office address. The details of the general body.by- laws.Area of operation of a trust. Memorandum of association. This will contain the name, address, and occupation of trustees. This will also clearly define the meeting calling process/duration, membership, donation, General body, appointment/removal of the trustees. What are the Rights and duties of the trustees? Details of the property which is going to be donated to the trust We need at least two trustees for registering the trust. For trust registration, we can apply at the commissioner or registrar`s office. Documents required for registering the trust. Trust deed on stamp paper( value of stamp varies from state to state) Self-attested KYC document of the author and two photographs of the author Self-attested KYC document of the author and two photographs of all the trustees Proof of the registered office address. This can be an electricity bill, water bill. In the case of a rented office, you need to submit the consent letter of a landowner with his identity proof. So till now we have come to know that type of trust how it works and what is the registration process of the trust. But there are other aspects of the trust as well. Limitation under trust act: Suppose someone has created the trust for two purposes and at the time of the creation of the trust both purposes were lawful. but after some time one of the purposes becomes unlawful due to the policy changes of the government. Now the bigger question is Do we need to close that trust? As per the law if the second purpose is dependent on the first purpose and if the first purpose is unlawful now then we will have to close the trust. If we can separate unlawful purpose from the other then trust will continue as usual. One of the objects of a trust declared unlawful shall continue or be dissolved is dependent on the objects of the trust. If the lawful object can be separated from unlawful objects and can be carried in isolation then trust shall be valid for the lawful object otherwise shall stand void. Tax exemption for a public charitable trust After registration, a trust can apply for income tax exemption. For availing of the tax exemption under income tax trust needs to obtain 12A and 80G certificates from the income tax. Donation with specific direction Sec 11(1) (d) says that if a donor has given a trust donation with a specific direction then trust will have to spend that donation for that particular specific direction. For example, if donor A has donated with an instruction to construct a particular wall then trust will have to construct a wall from that donation. Also, this will not be the income of the trust because it has come with a specific direction. Donation without specific direction In this category, you need to keep 15% and the rest you will have to spend. in the utilization of fund, you can clear your old liability with current year donation as well. Cancelation of the registration of a trust Income tax also may cancel the registration of trust after giving the opportunity of being heard. They will ask for an explanation. Income tax department l fix the date and time and trust people need to go there and submit the explanation. Interested person We can call a person an interested person for that trust If he has donated more than 50 thousand rupees to that particular trust.

What is the society registration process? How to start the society in 2021? We as individuals many times would like to do something for society or do would like to do make an impact in society. In the process, few individuals meet. They discuss their plan and then try to formalize the whole plan. Now the question is how can we formalize the whole process? How can we register society? If we have to register the society then under which act it will be registered? What are the processes to register society? There will be many questions like this will occur in our mind and certainly, we would like to know the answer as well. What is society? When a few individuals decide to pursue a particular purpose and work for a larger charitable cause then it is called society. A group of individuals inclined towards a particular philosophy, opinion, mission, or work and they would like to work for this particular purpose can for society. We register a society for serving the larger cause of the society. There are many examples of this. A society can work in the field of education, poverty elimination, environment, health, and so on. Many organizations are registered under the society registration act. They are doing a wonderful job in society. Society can operate at the district, state, national, or even international level. Society can work in the field of Poverty elimination, music, culture, environment, education, communication, or religion. Societies are normally managed by a governing council or a managing committee. It is governed by the society’s registration act 1860. What is the purpose of society registration? This memorandum has to be signed by every committee member. After the signature, this memorandum of Association needs to be attested /certified by the notary. A Memorandum of the association will also contain the aims and objectives of the society. This memorandum will clearly explain the aims and objectives of the society. For what purposes a particular society is being formed. By-Laws of the society By-laws are a very important part of society`s functioning. This will decide how your society will function. The Messengers of God-Covid Volunteers

        The Messengers of God-Covid Volunteers

        Ashutosh kumar

The storm of Covid was desperate to take the entire human race in its arm. There was mourning of death all around. The government system was getting insufficient to save lives. Death was raging everywhere. Crematoriums were overwhelmed with the dead bodies. Humanity was beginning to be ashamed. Hospitals were full. Medicines and oxygen were not available. In some families whole lives were at stake. Efforts were replaced by prayers. In such tiring times, there was a need of messengers of god. The one who can snatch away the life from the mouth of death .In the series of Article, I am going to discuss about these messengers of god. They were working 24X7.They were challenging their limitation every moment. They were creating miracles. I am talking about the individual volunteers, volunteer organizations who were working day in day out and trying to leave their never ending foot print on humanity. Who were they? They were ordinary people like you and me. You could find them anywhere. You could see them in your Mohalla, society, college, work place .Only thing which make them different or extra ordinary is when situation arrived they behaved differently. They didn’t curse the situation but fought back. They didn’t waste their time to criticize the govt but created the alternative. They didn’t see the cast, religion but only saw the humanity. These torch bearers of humanity are endless. I have searched some of these diamonds and putting their side of story. Messengers of God- EEMA/Pearl Academy/Maneesh Aggarwal and his team. During the peak of second wave there was a panic situation in Delhi & NCR. Every passing day was becoming tougher from the previous day. Hospitals were overwhelmed with the patients. No helpline number was in a position to give correct information. People were praying that covid shouldn’t enter in their home. But once it entered, the whole family used to get caught up on this. Now struggle of survival started from here. Family knew that they might have to secure hospital beds, necessary anti biotic, oxygen cylinders and even food as well. This was is the general story of covid affected families in Delhi NCR. In the covid management, availability of oxygen was proved to be most critical. Every moment was important for the patients who needed oxygen. When cases picked up fight for securing the oxygen started at different level. Fight was going on in PMO,CMO,High court ,supreme court and the last but not the least on the road of Delhi & Ncr. Common man was stumbling on the road for oxygen. In this background Event & Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) decided to launch 24x7 helpline numbers for providing reliable verified oxygen availability information to general public. They decided to Contact Perl academy for executing the whole plan. Now Perl academy had made the team in the leadership of its faculty Maneesh Aggarwal. He was ably supported by Srishti Chawla, Sachit Arora, Neha Dubey ,Anjali Godara, Devika Gupta. Maneesh made four hours shift for attending the help line number. Dedicated volunteers were assigned for attending a particular time slot .Time slot and numbers were distributed as below- 08:00 HRS - 12:00 HRS - 9711170220 12:00 HRS - 16:00 HRS – 86964 96094 16:00 HRS - 20:00 HRS – 85878 34472 20:00 HRS – 24:00 HRS – 81266 54666 24:00 HRS – 04:00 HRS – 96544 18883 04:00 HRS – 08:00 HRS – 98733 25428 These numbers were flashed on social media and in different whatsapp groups. Once number flashed they started getting the calls.Trafic of call was huge. They were receiving more than thousand calls a day.Apart from this they were also receiving the request for help on whatsapp. Now the challenge was to provide verified information to the needy one.So they zeroed 21 locations where oxygen supply were available. Five each in South, west and north Delhi. Three each in Gurugram and Faridabad and one in Indirapuram.Oxygen supplier numbers got flashed and so many people started calling, they couldn’t handle the rush of the calls so they just switched off the phone. Now Maneesh and team deployed his own team on all the 21 locations and team on ground keep reporting to the team in the office about real time availability of the oxygen. Some sites were opening in the morning and some were at late night. You can imagine the enormity of the problem. They were receiving distress call even at 1am or 2am and team was responding them with verified leads. By this enormous effort they saved countless lives and established that when going gets tough then only tough gets going. My best wishes to the entire team Messengers of God- Ashwani Sandhu,Ajay Pandita There are many shiny pearls in the garland of the KP community; in that garland one of never fading pearl name is Ashwani Sandhu. As cases were rising people across the country searching for resources as govt was not able to fulfill overwhelming demand of citizen. As others, KP community were also facing the shortage of blood, oxygen cylinders, concentrators, medicine and even reliable advice from doctors. In this scenario Ashwani Sandhu formed two groups KP blood bank (https://www.facebook.com/groups/199331154236704/) and KP Crona Fighters (https://www.facebook.com/groups/965189223902349/) .During the pandemic these two forums remained good platform for providing the relief to the people in distress. He started collaborating with likeminded people for augmenting the resources and in shortest span of time he was able to establish the network of volunteers across india and overseas. With the help of the volunteers he managed to arrange plasma/blood donors, food , oxygen cylinders/ concentrators, medicines. He also successfully formed the panel of doctors who gave online consultation for covid patients. The team of doctors from Jammu, NCR. Chandigrh,Mumbai, Pune , Bangalore, Kashmir was available for online consultation. He reached out to the people during the distress through his multiple whatsapp groups and facebook pages. He managed to help more than 500 people from across the country. My best wishes to Ashwani Sandhu and his team for serving the humanity in such a marvelous way.I hope he will keep doing the good work and keep guiding the humanity. Keep up the good work. Ajay Pandita Story of Ajay Pandita will touch another tragic aspect of Covid patients. We keep listening about the scarcity of oxygen, beds or medicine and even to some extent about food as well. No doubt these all are very important but have we thought about other tragic aspects of the pandemic? Cremation of covid patients was very tedious and risky job where no one was ready to come forward.Even own family members were not coming forward. In Indian culture everyone expects that at least last rights should be conducted in dignified manner. But this pandemic had created so much havoc in our life that nobody was even ready to attend funeral. In these difficult circumstances Ajay Pandita took the responsibility to cremate the covid patients. He started cremating the covid patients as per covid protocol. His this novel act certainly eased the sufferings of certain families. He carried out necessary rituals through Zoom where Pandit jis couldn't join in person. Anyone can imagine the horrible scene of the cremation ground. All cremation grounds were full. There was no space available for the bodies. In these difficult circumstances one has to manage the space and resource for conducting the rituals. As per Mr.Pandita 15-20 bodies were cremated at one go so that time can be saved on rituals. Space crunch was so huge that cremation were conducted even at parking lot of the cremation ground. After cremation he used to go early in the morning to the cremation ground next day for collecting the ashes and was immersing at Brij Ghat,Moradanagar Ganga Canal or Haridwar. This was a regular exercise for many weeks. Sanitization is another important aspect of fight against covid. Ajay proactively took up sanitization work in open areas as well as housing societies and offices. He also served food to covid affected families. He served home cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner to covid affected families in the surrounding area of Gurgaon. Besides all the humanitarian service to needy families he managed to arrange fodder to Cows and willd life in nearby Aravalies where a Gaushala was being supported by some volunteers. He also arranged water tankers for natural ponds which helped in keep water in creeks/ponds for drinking to Peacocks, birds,Neel Gai and all living creatures there. He also worked on mental health of the families and for keeping them in good health conducted zoom sessions where yoga sessions and anti depression talks got conducted. He also donated oximeters, concentrators to the needy one in NCR and in valley. Any words of appreciation would be too short,to denote the great work done by him. The work he has done is far-far ahead from any praise or analysis. All I can say is thank you for being a part of my series. Very best of luck and keep doing the good work. To BE CONTINUED……………………

These story can be find at https://whoashutosh.blogspot.com/

Messengers of God-  TEAM-KMECT (Kashmiri Medical Emergency & Charitable Trust)

KMECT as a philanthropic NGO is not new to the Kashmiri Pandit community. The tragic death of an infant in 2009 and at times delayed treatment to needy forced few likeminded persons of community members to think of making some formal kind of arrangement for the needy to serve in timely manner. Same persons namely Late Sqd Leader B L Sadhu (Founder Trustee & Ex. Chairman), Sunil K Thusu, Jatinder Kaw, Rajeev Munshi, Late Vikram Bhat, mooted the idea of forming the trust called KMECT. Team was ably encouraged by other community members and in the year 2009 Trust KMECT was born. In the shortest span of time more trustees joined the noble cause like Late Sh. S K Khazanchi, Sanjay Dhar, Ajay Pandita, Maharaj Pajan, Dr. Neeru Kharu Late Sqd Ldr B.L. Sadhu became the founder chairman with Sunil K Thusu as vice chairman and Jatinder Kaw as general secretary cum treasurer. Currently trust is being led by Sunil K Thusu chairman and Jatinder kaw General Secretary and apart from Chairman and Secretary, core team of the KMECT consists of Maharaj Pajan, Sanjay Dhar, Rajiv ji Munshi, Dr. Anil Bhan, Dr. Upinder Kaul, Dr. Anusheel Munshi, Shiban Krishan Khanzanchi, Ajay Pandita, Neeru Kharu. Also day to day trust work at the back office managed by two young community member Sumeet Bhat and Ankita Kaul. KMECT ensure that no community members should die due to lack of finances. After doing due diligence, It directly releases the fund to the hospital / Chemists / Labs and Distributors. Trust has the panel of more than three dozen doctors headed by Dr. K L Chowdhury. It provides consultancy services to the registered patients of KMECT. Trust has developed full proof system of financing to the needy one. Whenever requirement arises, its team of doctors checks the necessary papers and test reports. Once they satisfied then other team checks the authenticity of documents and establish that the case needs support irrefutably and to have more transparency the funds are released directly in the account of the hospital / chemist / Test Labs. Till now KMECT has able to disburse approximately INR 100.00 million to 2500 odd patients, the needy ones. In this back ground I am going to talk about the KMECT and Jatinder Kaw whom I am in touch with.He is one of the founder trustees and General Secretary of KMECT. When second wave of Covid knocked our door.KP community was not an exception. It was also badly affected like any of us. They also needed doctors, hospitals, oxygen cylinders, food and many other items. Whether it is big cities like NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore or in Jammu, KP community rendered homeless due to militancy in Kashmir were crying for help. Effective and timely help was needed. How KMECT would remain behind in this pandemic. KMECT trustees consulted within their team and decided to provide resources proactively to the community members. Immediately contact was made with ground level teams and volunteers and KMECT coordinated and formed the response team and tied up with alliance partners for logistics and effective relief for Covid 19 patients as under. Messengers of God-  Rakesh Bhat and Digamber Raina

Rakesh Bhat was busy in his carpet business. He never thought in his wildest dream that pandemic would hit his area so hard. He got the feeling of covid affected family when covid reached in his own home.He understood that when members of the family infected with covid then even cooking a food would be difficult. Somehow he managed to overcome the difficulty but thought to serve the society. He thought that the problem he faced in his own family others should not face .He started serving the food at covid patient`s homes in Jammu. It started initially with 20-30 packets of food then gradually increased to 40-50 per day .When numbers of food packet started to increase then he converted own carpet factory into kitchen and deployed own staff for preparing ,packing and delivering the food. During this food distribution, got the request from Gandhi Nagar Hospital, ESI hospital and police for delivering the food. So he started delivering the food in hospitals as well. Now number of packet (one packed consist of meal, few biscuits and two water bottle) reached to 350. 350 packets of lunch and 350 packets of dinner got distributed continuously till 31st of May. Initially he made all the arrangements by own only but gradually people came forward and started donating grains and other stuff .Apart from distributing the food packets he also mobilized the fund and got established covid care center Sharda in talabtillo. He got donated inverters, Ac, concentrators to the hospital. His selfless service has left a deep impression on the hearts and minds of the people of Jammu. My good luck to him and his team. Digamber Raina The pandemic had knocked in the homes of Faridabad. Like other cities, this city too had started losing its dear ones. Lives were yearning for oxygen. The hospitals were proving to be insufficient to save lives. Life imprisoned in homes, looking for a messiah how can hold on his thread of life and provide badly needed oxygen. The roads were deserted. Covid cases were increasing day by day. People were not ready to come out. They were not ready to help other. They were in grief and panic. They were thinking that who knew when their tern will come. Second wave was so infectious that if one member of family got infected then whole family will be infected. This was certainly a crisis situation in Faridabad. In this scenario Digamber Raina came in the picture. He is a founder of WE CARE MEDISERVICE (http://www.wecaremediservices.com/), a medical services providing company, which deals in oxygen home care services. At one point of time city was at the peak of the pandemic, it was very difficult for him to choose whether to do the business or to do the charity. Fortunately he managed to do the both.He provided the equipments to the clients and charged to them who can afford and at the same time provided free to needy one.His phone was available to receive the distress call 24X7.During the emergency he even delivered the equipment at odd hours. He was managing around 1000 calls a day. He provided 38 big cylinders and two concentrators free of cost to Faridabad police to cater police families. Provided free oxygen services to KP community in association with KMECT and KP NGO. Also provided free oxygen cylinders to economically weaker section.

The Messengers of God - Covid Volunteers

        Ashutosh kumar

The storm of Covid was desperate to take the entire human race in its arm. There was mourning of death all around. The government system was getting insufficient to save lives. Death was raging everywhere. Crematoriums were overwhelmed with the dead bodies. Humanity was beginning to be ashamed. Hospitals were full. Medicines and oxygen were not available. In some families whole lives were at stake. Efforts were replaced by prayers. In such tiring times, there was a need of messengers of god. The one who can snatch away the life from the mouth of death .Today in the series of Article, I am going to discuss about these messengers of god. The Messengers of God- Padma Foundation Padma Foundation team Their main area of operation is in Jabalpur in MP and in Bihar. They are the group of young enthusiastic passionate individuals who are eager to help people. They are doing a lot of social work. But today I will talk about their work related to Covid. When lockdown imposed during the first wave there were lot of hardship among the migrant workers. TV cameras were showing how they were fleeing their work place. How they were restless and fighting for survival. At that difficult time padma team came in the picture in Jabalpur. After seeing the plight of the workers, padma team got into action. They formed core team. Azad Patel, Mohit Agarwal, C.K.Thakur, Yogesh Srivastva, Nilesh Mishra, Mukesh Sahi and Mukesh Shraff were part of the core team. They started providing all kind of logistics support to the migrants. They distributed food, lassi to the labrours. Once migrants issue subsided then they focused on Covid frontline workers. They started providing refreshment to frontline workers. During the second wave, story of Jabalpur was not different from the other cities. Number of patient was increasing day by day. The most difficult problem in the Jabalpur was unavailability of Oxygen. Oxygen was not available in the hospital so this team approached district admin and requested to allow them to procure and store oxygen cylinders. After informing the authorities they started procuring and distributing oxygen cylinders to the patients. As Covid cases picked up, requirement of blood and plasma felt. So this team organized mass blood donation camps in Jabalpur in MP and Muzaffarpur in Bihar. When cases were increasing they started working proactively in the area. They started door to door campaign for giving the msg of social distancing. They distributed mask, sanitizer and soaps in villages. To boost the immune system they distributed the ayurvedic kadha in villages. During the pandemic they felt that people in rural areas hesitant of taking the vaccine. So with the help of district authorities they adopted few centers and mobilize people for vaccination. This drive is still going on and padma team is ably managing the work. The Messengers of God- Ketan Dand and Minal Messengers of God- Ketan Dand and Minal Popat Ketan Dand is a Corporate Law Consultant and Insolvency Professional with over 2 decades of experience from Mumbai. He is now setting up a platform for channelizing relief to Covid-affected families. Minal Popat is a house wife and taking good interest in Social work. Imagine the scenario, a city is spread in 100 km area and in the pandemic situation very limited health resource is available. A patient who needs to avail the facility has every min important. He doesn’t know where the hospital bed is available. Where is the availability of oxygen or the medicine? It may sound simple but this is not so simple. Just put yourself in the shoes of the patient`s and think, helpline numbers were not responding. There was so much stress on health infrastructure that almost nothing was available. In that scenario few volunteers tried to make a system where verified information should be available to the needy at the earliest. In this back ground story of Ketan and Minal starts. When pandemic was on peak. Ketan thought to contribute as a volunteer. He added Minal in the group. They formed many WhatsApp groups. They started collecting the data from social media. Compiled the data and started providing to the needy in west and north India. This was the initial stage of the work. Problem started when they started getting wrong data from social media. Now they started verifying the data. Once they verify at their level then they further provided to the needy one. Now another problem started. Whenever verified data they post, volunteers from different corner started calling those numbers for re verifying. Due to too many calls those resources switch off their phones. So now the same data which were active, verified became non responsive or unavailable due to over enthusiasm of the volunteers. So they had to change the strategy now. Instead of calling the source for verification they started calling to the individuals who have posted the data and started confirming the source .Once source got confirmed they directly connected to the needy one. In this process lot of time and call got saved and resource judiciously got used. In the whole exercise they also took help of Seva International and Human kind global. Now Ketan is trying to establish rehabilitation program for the Covid affected families. My best wished to today`s messengers of god. Please keep inspiring us. I hope your good work will keep making the statement louder and louder. To BE CONTINUED……………………

In some families whole lives were at stake. Efforts were replaced by prayers. In such tiring times, there was a need of messengers of god. The one who can snatch away the life from the mouth of death .Today in the series of Article, I am going to discuss about these messengers of god.

The Messengers of God- Padma Foundation

        Padma Foundation team

Their main area of operation is in Jabalpur in MP and in Bihar.

The Messengers of God- Ketan Dand and Minal

Messengers of God- Ketan Dand and Minal Popat

Ketan Dand is a Corporate Law Consultant and Insolvency Professional with over 2 decades of experience from Mumbai.
